Software FOMO is Real

If there was ever a confession post, this is it. Back in 2021, I realised I was a full-blown Amazon software addict. I loved testing new tools — partly out of curiosity, partly to make sure I wasn’t missing out on anything that could save time or boost profit. (FOMO is real in the Amazon world!)

Over time, I built my own toolkit of software that worked for me as an online arbitrage and bundle seller — each one earning its place through trial, error, and a lot of late-night dashboard checking.

My Early Toolkit

Seller Toolkit was my starting point and stayed my go-to for almost a year. It did (and still does) a great job tracking profit and loss, inventory, and replenishment. The replenishment tab and product history became my secret weapons for deciding which products to restock and which to retire.

Then along came Sumfully, a newer profit and loss software that connected with Buy Bot Pro and Profit Protector Pro — two other tools I already loved. The integration was seamless, and the fact that it pulled data all the way back to my very first Amazon sale (without charging extra) made it a winner.

What really sold me, though, was the team behind it — constant improvements, responsive support, and a smart partnership with a UK accountant who truly understood Amazon sellers.

Building Bundles and Broadening Horizons

I also use Helium 10, which I first discovered while diving into bundle creation. Although it’s aimed more at private label sellers, it offers brilliant features for research and optimisation:

  • Black Box for product research

  • Cerebro for keyword research

  • Frankenstein for keyword processing

  • Scribbles for listing optimisation

It’s a powerhouse — though admittedly more than most OA or wholesale sellers will ever need.

Enter Sellerboard (and a Game-Changer for eBay Too)

Just when I thought I had enough tools, I heard another seller (hi Jonny Smith!) talking about Sellerboard, which can automatically fulfil eBay orders using Amazon’s Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF). As someone exploring eBay as an extra sales channel, that automation instantly got my attention.

After a free trial and a few integrations, I linked my Amazon and eBay accounts — and suddenly Sellerboard was doing the heavy lifting. Profit and loss tracking, PPC insights, expense summaries… even order fulfilment. Boom — job done.

It’s a great reminder that while we often get buried working in our business, it’s just as important to work on it — especially when software can make that work smarter.

What’s a TL;DR?It’s a quick-read summary — ideal for busy sellers, skimmers, and voice search users. It gives you the key idea of the post in just a few lines so you can get the takeaway fast or decide if you want to dive deeper.

Summary:

This post is a snapshot from 2021, when I first started exploring different profit and loss tools for Amazon sellers. From Seller Toolkit and Sumfully to Helium 10 and Sellerboard, it’s a reminder that the right software can save hours, reduce errors, and help you actually see where your profit is going.

If you’re using any of these tools in 2025, double-check current features — most have evolved significantly since this post was first written.
